Lauren joined the Chamber staff in July 2019. She is involved with all aspects of the Region 3 Workforce Development Council and West Alabama Works, and assists with workforce training efforts throughout the nine-county region. As the Rural Outreach Manager, she coordinates events throughout the year that provide resources and job/education opportunities to the residents of West Alabama.

Lauren attended the University of Alabama for both a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Masters in Library and Information Sciences. She has a strong interest in archives, museums, and non-profits, and has a passion for serving the Tuscaloosa community where she has lived since 2008. Lauren previously worked for Tuscaloosa's One Place, a family resource center, as the Workforce Development and Relationship Education Coordinator.
