Teamwork: Hold the Rope

Chamber of Commerce

Cost: $35 per Chamber member, $40 per non-member; Lunch included

Workshop Overview:
This seminar focuses on the importance of Teamwork, but from a little different perspective. The goal in the class is to not only understand the importance of teamwork and the key factors of teamwork, which includes trust, hard-work, initiative, discipline, etc.! But it also focuses on teaching each team member to carry themselves in such a way, that if one of their teammates was hanging off a cliff and they could only choose one person to hold the rope, that they would be the one. With that as the focus, this seminar helps to build an entire team of "Rope Holders"!

What is a Rope Holder? Imagine that you are hanging from the edge of a cliff with a drop of twenty thousand feet. The thing between you and a fall to your death is a rope, with the person of your choice on the other end. Who do you know that has the guts to pull you to safety? Who will hold the rope? Who do you know that is going to let that rope burn their hand and not let go? How many people you know are going to withstand the burning pain and watch the blood drip from their hands for you?

What You Will Learn:

  • Understanding the Importance of Teamwork
  • Key Factors in Teamwork - Trust, Hard-work, Initiative, Discipline, etc.
  • What is a Rope Holder
  • How to Become a Rope Holder
  • Dispelling the Myth of "There is no I in Team"
