2025 DBC Summit Sparks Conversations on Growth and Business Success
April 30, 2025
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama hosted its annual DBC Summit on Tuesday, April 29, at the Tuscaloosa River Market, drawing a dynamic crowd of small business owners, community leaders, and advocates.
Presented by Alabama Power and Cadence Bank, the 2025 DBC Summit offered a compelling panel discussion moderated by Jabaree Prewitt of WVUA 23. The panel featured voices from across the community, including Huey Rudder of Druid City Pride, Caitlin Hynes of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, Tiffany Moore of Happy Hands, and Maribel Magana of Armstrong Immigration.
Together, the panelists shared personal insights and professional experiences related to overcoming barriers in the workplace and in the community—touching on topics spanning disability, immigration, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and more. The candid conversation encouraged attendees to reflect on their own practices and commit to building more open-minded work environments.
“Our goal with the DBC Summit is to create space for open dialogue, awareness, and actionable solutions,” said Chamber President and CEO Kyle South. “When all parts of our community are engaged and supported, our local economy is stronger for it.”
The DBC, which provides networking, education, and advocacy opportunities year-round, continues its mission to support business success across all sectors of West Alabama.
