48 Selected for Leadership Tuscaloosa Class of 2027

Forty-eight individuals have been selected for the 2026-27 class of Leadership Tuscaloosa, a nine-month leadership development program presented by Shelton State Community College.
Facilitated by The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, Leadership Tuscaloosa provides a foundation for potential leaders to be involved and thrive in the community. Through networking and intentional programming, each participant will become more aware of and sensitive to the wide range of opportunities in Tuscaloosa County to meet the community’s need for informed, responsible and effective leadership.
Jasmine Rainey, Director of Tourism at Visit Tuscaloosa, will serve as this year’s chair, alongside Co-Chair Claude Lake, Dean of Information Technology and C.A. Fredd Campus Administrator at Shelton State Community College. Rainey is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa, and Lake is a 2025 graduate. Both are active members of the Leadership Tuscaloosa Alumni Association.
