October 14, 2025
Central Elementary School announces Church at the Oaks as its newest Adopt-A-School partner, joining Stillman College and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., in supporting students, staff and families throughout the school year.
“Church at the Oaks is excited for our new Adopt-A-School partnership with Central Elementary School,” said Caleb Cummings, city pastor for Church at the Oaks. “We are eager to serve, support and care for the students, families and faculty that make up the Central Elementary family. We are praying the Lord will bless and make His face shine upon this partnership in a meaningful and impactful way in the city of Tuscaloosa.”
The partnership will focus on improving student attendance through creative incentive programs, providing volunteers to help students strengthen reading skills, supporting school events, and recognizing teachers through faculty appreciation initiatives.
“We are thrilled to welcome Church at the Oaks as our new Adopt-A-School partner,” said Central Elementary Principal Cynthia Miller Huff, Ed.S. “Their commitment to supporting our staff and families at Central Elementary reflects the true spirit of community collaboration. Together, we will continue to SOAR and build a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We are grateful for their partnership and the positive impact it will bring to our school family.”
