The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama is proud to announce that President and CEO Kyle South has graduated from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM), the nation’s premier professional development program for association and chamber professionals.
As an IOM graduate, South has completed 96 hours of in-depth instruction in nonprofit management across leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance, and membership development. This prestigious achievement also positions him to earn credit toward the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation—one of the highest honors in the chamber industry.
“Kyle’s commitment to this program reflects the level of leadership and dedication he brings to our Chamber every day,” said The Chamber’s Executive Vice President Donny Jones, IOM, CCE. “We are proud to have a CEO who continually invests in professional growth that ultimately strengthens our organization and our region.”
Nearly 1,000 individuals attend IOM annually, with participants recognized nationwide as leaders in their organizations and industries. The four-year program includes weeklong sessions hosted at university campuses across the country, allowing attendees to build lasting networks and gain critical skills that directly enhance their organizations' missions and impact.
