November 7, 2025
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama hosted its inaugural Chamber in Session: Federal Affairs Briefing on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Tuscaloosa River Market. Presented by Alabama Power, the event brought together business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders to engage in a timely conversation on federal issues affecting West Alabama.
U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt, who represents Alabama’s 4th Congressional District, served as the guest speaker. During a moderated discussion with Chamber Board Chair Carl Jamison, Aderholt shared updates on federal policies related to economic development, workforce, and industry needs throughout the region.
The Federal Affairs Briefing is the newest addition to the Chamber in Session series, which also includes annual events such as State of the Community, State of the Economy, and State of the State. This new addition expands the series by offering insight into national policy and its impact on local business growth.
“The Chamber is committed to providing our members with access to the elected officials and decision-makers shaping our business environment,” said Chamber President and CEO Kyle South. “Today’s discussion offered valuable context on issues that are influencing our region’s economic momentum.”
