Chamber Launches Free Training Series on Business Basics in Uncertain Times
February 10, 2021
Five-part series to feature best practices from local business leaders
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama will host Business Basics in Uncertain Times, a five-part series of policy insights, helpful tips, best practices, and lessons learned from local business leaders, starting Thursday, February 18.
Kicking off with Bruce Henderson of Phelps, Jenkins, Gibson & Fowler, L.L.P., the first session will address employment issues as they relate to COVID-19, and will cover vaccination issues for employers, COVID-liability issues, pending COVID-related legislation in the Alabama House, and a glimpse into what the Biden Administration may have for employers.
The series will continue each week with sessions on marketing, sales, human resources, and customer service. Carolyn Tubbs, Director of Education Programs for the Chamber, says the series will have something to offer everyone moving forward into an atypical year for the business community.
“Each of these one-hour training sessions will deliver vital need-to-know information for anyone who owns a business in our community and is looking for strategies to help them thrive,” Tubbs says. “We’re so fortunate in West Alabama to have a wide range of business experts willing to share their time and expertise so we can all succeed together.”
