Chamber Wins Top Award for Communications
June 4, 2025
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama has been recognized with an Award for Communications Excellence (ACE) from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) for its “Back to The Chamber” video, premiered at its 124th Annual Meeting in January.
Produced by Chamber member Seed Creative, the video highlights The Chamber’s long-standing impact in the region by blending local leadership, nostalgic storytelling, and high-quality production. The result was an engaging, humorous piece that not only celebrated The Chamber’s legacy but energized its members for the future.
“This recognition affirms the intentional and creative approach we take to telling our story,” said Chamber President and CEO Kyle South. “We’re proud to be honored by our peers for a project that not only celebrates where we’ve been but also energizes our continued commitment to lead West Alabama into the future.”
The Awards for Communications Excellence (ACE) program is conducted annually by ACCE, a national association based in Alexandria, Virginia, representing more than 1,600 chambers of commerce and economic development organizations across North America. ACCE’s ACE program recognizes the communications and marketing work of chambers that demonstrate excellence in creativity, effectiveness and storytelling.
“Innovative, engaging communications are essential for chambers of commerce to demonstrate their impact and amplify their communities’ stories,” said ACCE President and CEO Sheree Anne Kelly. “This year’s winners have creatively celebrated their communities, strengthened local identity and showcased their commitment to inspiring progress and building vibrant, thriving regions.”
This year, 12 chambers received Awards of Excellence across various categories based on annual revenue and type of communications entry — including digital media, campaigns, publications, and websites. The winning entries now advance to compete for the Best in Show honor, to be announced during ACCE’s annual convention July 23 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
