Courtyard by Marriott Northport Joins Adopt-A-School Program as New Partner of Matthews Elementary

Adopt-A-School announces a new partnership between Courtyard by Marriott Northport and Matthews Elementary School. As the school’s newest partner, Courtyard by Marriott will help expand opportunities for students and support teachers throughout the year.

"Partnering with Matthews Elementary School is a natural extension of our team’s dedication to memorable service and legendary hospitality — and we’re excited to help create positive, lasting impacts for students and teachers alike. This dedication begins with providing meaningful support throughout the academic year, including staff appreciation efforts, volunteer initiatives, and resource contributions designed to enrich the school environment."
Through this partnership, Courtyard by Marriott Northport will bring volunteer readers into classrooms—including during Read Across America Day—while also providing students with unique learning experiences such as hotel tours for job shadowing and etiquette training. In addition, the hotel will supply snacks and classroom materials to assist Matthews’ teachers.
“At Matthews Elementary, we believe strong partnerships make strong schools,” said Dr. Dedre Slater Warren, Assistant Principal. “Together with Courtyard by Marriott Northport, we’re excited to build meaningful opportunities that will benefit our students and community for years to come.”
Matthews Elementary benefits from the ongoing support of several Adopt-A-School partners, including First Federal Bank, the Tuscaloosa Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and North River Church.
