Synovus Adopts Tuscaloosa County High School Through Chamber’s Adopt-A-School Program
September 17, 2025
Synovus has expanded its community impact by adopting Tuscaloosa County High School (TCHS) as part of The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama’s Adopt-A-School program. This marks the bank’s second school adoption, as it also partners with Verner Elementary.
“At Tuscaloosa County High School, we believe that strong schools build strong communities,” said Ginger Martz, honors chemistry teacher at TCHS. “The Adopt-A-School partnership between Tuscaloosa County High School and Synovus Bank will be more than a collaboration—it will be an investment in our students’ future.”
Through the partnership, Synovus will bring volunteers to lead financial literacy sessions, support school activities, provide incentives for strong attendance and achievement, and help coordinate a major fundraiser to benefit TCHS.
“Education is the foundation for a thriving community,” Martz added. “Together, Tuscaloosa County High School and Synovus Bank will be committed to empowering students with the financial literacy tools they need to succeed.”
TCHS is additionally supported by Remmert & Company and Shelton State Community College.
