The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and West Alabama Works will celebrate the newly renovated West Alabama Workforce and Community Development Center with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House on Thursday, September 10, at 2222 9th Street in downtown Tuscaloosa.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will begin at 3:45 p.m., followed by an Open House from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The event will provide members of the community, business leaders and partners an opportunity to tour the newly renovated facility, learn more about the resources and services available, and celebrate its role in supporting workforce and community development throughout West Alabama. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn more about business meeting spaces available at The Chamber, including ways the facility can serve as a venue for meetings, trainings, receptions and other community and business events.

The West Alabama Workforce and Community Development Center serves as a collaborative space focused on strengthening the region’s workforce, supporting economic growth and connecting individuals, businesses and community partners with valuable resources and opportunities.

“These renovations represent an important investment in the future of workforce and community development in West Alabama,” said Kyle South, President and CEO of The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama. “The updated facility gives us a more welcoming, functional and collaborative space to serve our businesses, workforce partners and community. We look forward to opening the doors and giving everyone the opportunity to see the improvements firsthand.”

Members of the business community, community partners and the public are invited to attend the celebration.
