Woodland Forrest Elementary Welcomes Local Bank as New Adopt-A-School Partner
August 8, 2025
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama’s Adopt-A-School program is proud to announce a new partnership between Local Bank and Woodland Forrest Elementary School. This exciting collaboration brings expanded opportunities to celebrate student achievement and deepen community involvement within the school.
“At Local Bank, we believe in investing in the future of our community,” said a representative from Local Bank. “Our involvement with the Adopt-A-School program reflects our commitment to empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in today's world. By supporting initiatives like this, we're not only helping shape tomorrow's workforce—we're building meaningful connections between schools, businesses, and the community. We encourage other organizations to get involved and help pave the way for student success.”
Through this partnership, Local Bank will recognize students with perfect attendance each month and each quarter, celebrate and support teachers throughout the year, lead financial literacy sessions for school faculty, and volunteer as classroom readers.
“We are excited to welcome Local Bank as our new Adopt-A-School partner,” said Tracey Sanders, Math Instructional Coach at Woodland Forrest Elementary. “Their support will help us continue creating meaningful learning experiences for our students and strengthen the connection between our school and the community. Together, we’re investing in the future of every child at Woodland Forrest.”
Woodland Forrest Elementary is also partnered with Thompson Tractor Company.
