Tyrus Robinson of MacLellan Integrated Services

Becky Shannon, Contract Manager at MacLellan Integrated Services, recently informed the West Alabama Works team that she had retained an excellent employee from the Automotive Cluster Hiring Fair, one of the first events sponsored by West Alabama Works as a result of Cluster work and need for talent in the Auto Industry.
Tyrus Robinson was attending Alabama State when he read about the Automotive Cluster Job Fair held in 2015 on-line. He worked for a Tree Service Company while he was attending college. He is still pursuing his degree.

Tyrus started as a full-time Team Member for MacLellan in the Body Shop. They quickly recognized that Tyrus was a natural leader and took pride in doing a good job. They began training him for a Team Lead position that would be opening up soon. He did well in this position supervising and guiding his team safely. He also submitted safety and process improvement ideas to his supervisors. Not long after being promoted to Team Lead, the MacLellan Paint Shop team was looking for an individual to join their Logistics team. Becky said, “I recommended Tyrus for the position and in superior Tyrus fashion he has done a wonderful job here as well.”
