Lauren joined the Chamber staff in August of 2024.
Lauren has extensive experience in both the nonprofit sector and in workforce development. She began her career in workforce as the Job Developer and Relationship Education Coordinator at Tuscaloosa’s One Place, A Family Resource Center (TOP), whose mission is to help strengthen families by preventing child abuse and neglect. In 2019, she accepted the Outreach Program Manager position with West AlabamaWorks where she traveled across the nine-county region to help connect people with great career paths and training opportunities. In 2022, she was selected as the Workforce Program Director at TOP and served over 150 people, helping them to overcome barriers to employment and providing wraparound services and building a thriving program from the ground-up. She is a proud graduate of The University of Alabama and has called Tuscaloosa home since 2008.
Lauren was selected for Leadership Tuscaloosa Class of 2025. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Resources, Education, and Advocacy for Drug-Free Youth (READY) and, when time allows, you might catch her participating in community theatre.
