The Chamber recognizes the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and offers numerous opportunities to understand and appreciate DEI through our Diverse Business Council (DBC), a Chamber initiative established in 2012 under the leadership and guidance of Fitzgerald Washington, who now serves as our state’s Secretary of Labor.

The DBC’s mission is to foster the growth and competitiveness of minority-owned businesses in West Alabama.
